Books & Booze Review: The Queen of Sugar Hill -- Stella Rosa Mango & Chili

WHEN IS GIVING OUR BEST GOING TO BE GOOD ENOUGH?

My Thoughts...

Recently, I came across a deeply moving story that I believe you would find intriguing. It is about a woman whose life unfolded unexpectedly, a woman who chose to live life on her terms, regardless of what others thought.

The story revolves around Hattie McDaniel, the first Black woman to win an Oscar for her role in "Gone With The Wind". While one might expect such an achievement to propel one's career, Hattie's journey took a different turn. Her award seemed to open the floodgates for criticism of all aspects of her life - from her craft and character to her physical appearance and skin color. But Hattie was more than just an entertainer, she was a beacon of hope for her people and left a legacy that continues to inspire today.

The author's deep understanding of Hattie's life choices is well-reflected in the narrative. She intricately uncovers the layers of Hattie's life, providing an insightful look into a significant historical period, and reminding us of the inherent strength and resilience of the human spirit.

ReShonda Tate's eloquent storytelling makes it an enjoyable read and sparks enlightening discussions and celebrations. I recommend Queen of Sugar Hill for your reading pleasure, and it will complement any bookshelf.

Dive into this inspiring story, you will not be disappointed. It is a journey worth embarking on.

Mango & Chili Features a proprietary blend produced primarily from the Moscato grape with hints of Italian Chili Peppers, the new Stella Rosa Mango & Chili wine will spice up any occasion! Hand-crafted in our countryside Italian vineyards, this semi-sweet, semi-sparkling wine is best served chilled or mixed with your favorite spirit. Spicy Margaritas, anyone?

My Book & Booze Crew; here is my suggested drink pair "Stella Rosa Mango &Chili".

As an avid wine enthusiast, I am always on the hunt for the next best bottle that can satiate my palate while not going heavy on the pocket. Filled with unexpected surprises and the sheer pleasure of this discovery is an exciting adventure. This Books & Booze Pair's latest find {Stella Rosa Mango & Chili} - a wine that was not only a delightful surprise but can be enjoyed in many different ways.

I love a good Mango wine and usually keep a spot on the shelf for it. So, when I came across this new wine, I was intrigued. Would it be good enough to claim a spot in my cherished cellar? With a mix of curiosity, I decided to give it a try. And I was pleasantly surprised!

But the real test of any wine is not just how it tastes alone, but how well it pairs with food, in this case how the characteristics complement this storyline. It was reasonably priced, proving that you don't have to break the bank to enjoy a good bottle of wine.

What I loved most about this wine was its unique balance of flavors. Just like life, it blended the bitter and the sweet to create something truly enjoyable. Every sip was a reminder that it's the blend of different experiences that make life (and wine) truly memorable.  Once you’ve had a chance to try either one (The Queen of Sugar Hill or Stella Rosa Mango & Chili) you will agree.

So, there you have it - a wine that is good, smooth, reasonably priced, and a great book pair, all rolled into one. It certainly made its way to my cellar, and I'm sure it will find a place in yours too. After all, the joy of discovering a good wine and a good book is only second to the pleasure of sharing it. So go ahead them both a try and let it surprise you! It's like I always say "Wine Makes a Good Book Great"
