Crystal Harris has been in love with her best friend, Brendon Marks, since they were in high school. He was the perfect gentleman, always supportive and encouraging her, and she’s spent the last ten years loving him in secret, too scared to tell him how she feels.

Brendon has a secret himself…he’s in love with his best friend and doesn’t know how to tell her. He doesn’t want to ruin their friendship, but as the days go by, his feelings for Crystal continue to grow stronger and stronger.

What do you do when you feel like your feelings are about to bubble over? When is the perfect time to tell your best friend you’re in love with them? What makes you say, “It’s now or never?”

REVIEW

Now or Never is book one of The Harris Sisters Series. It is with hopeful expectation that we will have an adventure with each of them. In the first installment, we meet; Crystal, Amethyst, Jade, and Ruby. You will get a kick out of the unique naming convention used by their parents.

Crystal Harris and Brendon Marks lead this series with a friend to lover journey. When they meet, Brendon has agreed to tutor Crystal, which is part of his athletic requirements. Even though she struggles, she hates the fact of having to enlist the help of an upperclassman, and to further add to an already frustrating situation; it is a football jock (Brendon Marks). It is at that moment that things shift. First, the lifelong friendship…until unbeknownst to them, with their actions, the relationship changes into something that tetters friends and processive/intimacy.

Everyone can see the paradigm shift, but you know the age-old excuses of not wanting to muddy the waters or if it’s not broken, then leave it alone.

There were many reasons why I enjoyed this book, to name a few, the relationship with the sisters, how Crystal made a hobby into a very lucrative business, the author didn’t infuse a lot of back and forth with this couple.

The title Now or Never was unique to the story and is a great read. You will enjoy this story and will have you anticipate the next one.

Thanks, Garden Avenue Press for an advance read opportunity. This review is my honest thoughts and opinion.
